An Open Request to Other Potential Sponsors...

The Las Cruces Inline Hockey Association is seeking sponsorships to support LCIHA for the 2001-2002 season.  Sponsorships will be used to: (1) pay for certified referees to officiate games, (2) provide scholarships to pay for registration fees of children who would otherwise not be able to play due to significant financial hardship, and (3) cover minor equipment needs during the season (e.g., hockey balls).  In exchange for each sponsorship of five hundred dollars or more, LCIHA will: (1) name the sponsor a Sustaining Member as provided in the LCIHA by-laws, (2) acknowledge sponsor on this page of our website, (3)  encourage our membership to patronize sponsor by including sponsor’s business logo on all communications distributed to the membership, and (4)  hang an advertisement banner on the fences around the court for each game day or special event (banner supplied by sponsor).

In addition to cash sponsorships, we seek donations of merchandise and/or services that can be used as awards or rewards (such as gift certificates).  LCIHA is planning a summer fundraiser tournament that will include an All-Star Skills Competition based on the similar event held at the NHL All-Star Game.  LCIHA would like to be able to provide the winning participant of each category with a trophy and a gift certificate.  If you are capable of providing such a gift certificate, we will acknowledge such contributions on our website, as well as be sure to award the certificate at a ceremony at which the majority of the membership would be present to maximize exposure of the contribution.

The long-term goal of the LCIHA is to coordinate the effort to identify funds for the construction of a new roller hockey facility in Las Cruces.  When this goal is met, LCIHA will sell advertisement space on the dasher boards of the rink to support the continued expansion of the league.  Sponsors providing support during the formative years of struggle will be given the first opportunity to purchase dasher board space.
