Agenda:
· Registration will be open on-line this week, walk-in registration will Saturday Jan 27th, 9-4 pm, at Meerscheidt.
· All forms and monies due will need to be completed before participating in games. A coaches list will be kept at the score table to assist in determination of eligible players.
· A full draft was implemented last season and continues with this season
· Team formation and coaches meeting will be held January 30th, 2007 6:30 pm in Jett Hall on NMSU campus room 283.
· The season starts on February 17th 2007. The regular season will consist of 9 games.
· Weekends scheduled off, no games, are March 17th and April 7th
· Tournament dates are May 5th and May 12th
· A marketing plan was discussed and a motion made by Tom King to budget up to $ 500.00 for cost of advertisement for the Spring Season 2007, motion was seconded by David Rockstraw and then passed by all. Cynthia Clark will contact The Bulletin for ads; Pat Coughlin is working with Meerscheidt regarding a trophy case. PSA’s and ads in the Sun News were also considered and will be researched.
· Player recruitment; a motion was made by Cindy to offer $ 20.00 gift cards, for a local vendor yet to be determined, to existing players who recruit a new player to the league. A new player is someone who has not played with LCIHA for > 1 year. Motion was seconded by Dave Rockstraw and passed by all.
· A skills camp will be held January 27th during registration at Meerscheidt, from 10 – 2 pm.
· Referee issues; on February 3rd 10-12 am at Meerscheidt youth referee training will be offered by Chris Christeson.
· All players 17 and under will receive a new jersey this season with logo designed by Cynthia Clark on the front and a number on the back. A
$ 5.00 fee has been added to registration which will be matched with another $ 5.00 by LCIHA.
· Season awards were discussed and the league will continue with T-shirts, certificates and special awards as implemented last season.
