LCIHA BOD MEETING MINUTES

volunteer positions:
o The
following were approved by the BoD:

NMSS:
·
NMSS will not be used during the summer by the
LCIHA
·
A total of $4,700 was paid to NMSS for rink
usage during the spring season.
·
Discussion ensued over the proposed contract for the
fall season. The current hourly rate
offered by NMSS was voted down by the BoD.
Tom Is currently writing a proposal to NMSS for the fall which
includes a lower hourly rate than they have requested and the stipulation that
the cost of any repairs incurred by the LCIHA be deducted from our bill.

is a slab and fence: no water or lights
o Costs to
improve this site were discussed
o Cyndy
suggested looking for matching funds form the city or state
·
Summer League
o An
informal summer league starting on
o “Throw
sticks” to choose teams, no referees but there will be adult supervision: Cyndy
and Dennis have the authority to decline players if necessary
o Each
player MUST be registered with USA Hockey Inline to play during the summer: $25
for the year
o A $1.00
donation will be requested per player per hour in lieu of a summer registration
fee. All proceeds go to the the LCIHA.
o Wednesdays will be

Registration will be:

Requirement:
o 10 hours
per hockey family will be required for volunteer duties
o Jill
suggested recruiting a parent from each team to be a Team Rep to assist the coach and league (maintain current player
list, procure missing registration info, etc).
Also, one of the team reps from each division will serve as a Division Rep.

LCIHA Draft;
o Discussion
abounded about the adoption of a team draft.
o In
conclusion, for the good of the league and the players, a draft for U10, U12, U14, U17 divisions was
voted in. This will ensure a more even
distribution of the talent.
·
OTHER
o Concerns about end-of-season awards were discussed

To even out the awards: awards should be given to
defensive players as chosen by coaches.
The stats are inconsistent and do not always show the true talent of
certain players.
